I'm Professor of Psychology and Interdisciplinary Studies at Kennesaw State University and a licensed psychologist in Georgia. [I don't have a psychotherapy practice currently.] I have over 20 years of experience teaching, researching, training, and practicing in the areas of health and wellness. I use empirically-supported methods of behavior change to motivate clients toward identifying and achieving their goals. These methods are strengths-based and framed within positive psychology.
My scholarship examines the ways general stress and discrimination stress - such as racism, sexism, and acculturation - impact the mental health and well-being of people of color, particularly Black women.
