Joycelyn Moody, PhD, Co-Founder
I am an experienced coach, academic mentor, and workshop presenter. My professional consultations draw on theories of physical health and well-being. I offer resources for greater productivity with increased whole-health practices to academics, entrepreneurs, and intellectuals at all stages of development. Mindfulness, compassion, and meditation, all practices I have training and experience in, are infused in all my work. As a lesbian, I appreciate opportunities to work with queer clients.
I am also the Sue E. Denman Distinguished Chair in American Literature and Professor of English at the University of Texas at San Antonio, I enjoy teaching courses in African American literary studies and Black feminisms. I have published extensively on Black literary, historical, and cultural topics, on Black women’s lives, and on career enrichment.
